This past weekend, I traveled out of Indianapolis to Philadelphia for a medical student conference especially for women, and I'll tell you guys...I had the best time! In this post I'm going to share my favorite photos from the trip (especially the cute, historic architecture), some things I recommend doing while in Philly, and of course some fashion tips for looking your best while wandering the city! Hope you all enjoy!
One of the main things I wanted to do while in Philly was check out Independence Mall to see the historic sites of the city. Philly is filled with so much history, and although I am not a history buff, I do have a massive love for Hamilton and a secret love for National Treasure, so you know I had to visit! I couldn't help but feel like Nicholas Cage wandering around these sights trying to solve a mystery :P It was so cool to see the one and only Liberty Bell in person and see the beautiful Independence Hall where the Declaration of Independence was signed (talk about inspiring!)
My favorite part of my whole trip was wandering around with friends down the authentic cobblestone and brick streets to look at the varying architecture Philly had to offer. As a design nerd, I couldn't help but to walk slowly in awe of all the character and charm the residential areas had to offer! From colorful doors, to random modern flares among the historic vibe, to classy row homes, Philly definitely has a home-y feel that will make any visitor smile. I could definitely picture myself living in one of these adorable homes (let's just give Penn a quick call and get me into their residency, right? :P)
I had the worst time deciding before the trip what to wear, but then I got a package from VICI in the mail, and my decision was made. My fun tee (linked here) is on flash sale NOW for only $15! It is so soft and comfy, and I'm wearing a size small for those asking. I loved pairing it with my leopard booties for a play on words (I thought I was really clever :P). I also ordered my bag from them, and it is the perfect size for versatile use. I am loving the shape, color, and adjustable strap for my tall figure. Make sure to check out their site to see their latest products for spring too!
That's it for now! Thanks for reading my loves!
